Pimcore Inspire 2019

Networking, networking and give a talk

- Here in front of the Pimcore Pimconauten with Frank Trimborn, a former colleague and much appreciated person.

Meet people

During my time at anyMOTION, I accompanied and implemented several Pimcore projects. Pimcore has always been a constant companion since then. You can read why I am so enthusiastic about Pimcore in my blog posts. Pimcore Inspire 2019 was the first Pimcore conference I attended and the experience was unique. A lot of like-minded people to talk to, from different countries and most importantly in a very good mood!

Pimcore went all out! As a guest I felt very welcome and comfortable. Super reception on the day of arrival with food and drinks. The best basis to exchange ideas with developers from other agencies. You often hear about the typical "family feeling" in the work environment. It was there! No matter which company you were from and what you could or couldn't do. Making new contacts, seeing old contacts again and expanding your knowledge - that was the mission. Pimcore definitely provided the basis for that!

After the presentations of the first day, there was a party in the evening. Christian, our loving partner manager and a person I still hold in high esteem, had prepared me roughly the night before. The party afterwards was legendary! Partied until deep into the night, with good music and drinks. Another opportunity to make contacts. See for yourself!

Give a talk

From the experience of a project from early 2019, I share the experience and approaches with the participants of the tech track. During the talk, I presented the "Event Management App", which the client used to organize events and digitize internal processes. Read more about it in the project (Rhenus Event App).

The management app consisted of three parts. The backend, web frontend and a native app. Pimcore was used as the platform. The Pimcore backend was extended so far that information necessary for the company could be sent to the app via push notification. For this purpose, information was sent to the participants of the respective events and centrally controlled from the backend.

The presentation was essentially about showing how uncomplicated it is to extend Pimcore in order to best meet the needs of the customer. For me, Pimcore is in first place here! Far ahead of systems like TYPO3, Akeneo or Censhare.
